Miluna Valen is the founder and director of Valen Editorial Ltd. She specialises in manuscript evaluation, developmental editing, line and copyediting, and writing mentorship, working across both fiction and non-fiction. She is a former Freudian–Lacanian psychotherapist, having worked clinically for ten years, and has seventeen years’ experience in psychology. She also has an academic background, having founded and edited a peer-reviewed psychoanalytic journal for three years.
Miluna has collaborated with The Oxford Editors (UK), BookPOD (Australia), Chiron Publishing (US), Spring Cedars Publishing (US), Plumfield Publishing (CA), and Charles H. Kerr Publishing (US), and has supported authors across five countries and at all stages of manuscript development. She is currently a writing advisor at Rowanvale Publishing (UK).
Alongside her editorial work, Miluna Valen is a portrait and figure artist and publishes reflective writing series — The Intellectual’s Meal, Psychoanalysis for Writers, and Creative Writing Atelier with Miluna Valen — exploring psychoanalysis, existential thought, literature, and art. She has also authored three works of fiction. Miluna Valen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
